The Siberian Cat comes from Russia where his history may go back 1000 years. This is another breed that bears a resemblance to the Maine Coon Cat, with medium-long hair. This breed is larger than average.

This breed has few health issues. They are, however, prone to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, like some of the other large cat breeds. HCM is late onset and not present at birth. A heart murmur is one of the first signs. The Siberian is also prone to Feline urethral syndrome.
