The domestic short hair is a non-pedigreed domestic cat that does not belong to any recognized breed of cat. They can come in any color or pattern. They vary in size and body type.
The domestic short hair is the forerunner of the American Short Hair, which is a recognized cat breed. They can be subject to the full range of health problems that are found in all domestic cats, but not in any particular concentration.
Domestic short hairs also occur in other countries and their appearance (and health) will vary depending on the local cat population. Domestic cats in Asia will bear a resemblance to Siamese and Tonkinese cats, which are much more common there. In Britain and Europe the domestic cats are stockier and have more rounded faces.
