The Bombay resembles a black panther.  This breed was created by crossing a sable Burmese with a black American Shorthair.  These cats weigh 6 to 11 pounds and are “semi-cobby.”

The Bombay is subject to the Burmese Craniofacial Defect” which results in some kittens being born with a deformed head.  There may also be heart and spinal problems.
