The Anatolian cat is a shorthaired cat found in Turkey.  They are also called the Turkish Shorthair or the Anadolu Kedisi.  They appear to be similar to the closely-related Turkish Van.  They are medium-sized cats.  The German-based World Cat Federation accepts the Anatolian as a breed.  Some people have suggested that the Anatolian and the Turkish Van are the same breed.  The Turkish Van has been accepted as an ancient breed of cat.

There are no reported genetic health problems with this breed.
